We are located one of the most renowned and prosperous cities of China for much of the last 1,000 years, Hangzhou, which is also well-known for its beautiful natural scenery, with the West Lake (Xī Hú, 西湖) as the most well-known location.

 

丝绸, 是由蚕的蚕茧抽丝后编制取得的天然蛋白质纤维, 再经过编制而成的纺织品, 人们通过养蚕, 当蚕结茧成蛹准备羽化成蛾时, 将蚕茧放入沸水中煮, 并及时抽丝. 一个蚕茧可以抽出800－1200米的蚕丝. 丝绸著名的光泽外表来自于像三棱镜般的纤维结构, 这令布料能够以不同的角度折射入射光, 并将光线散射出去. 在中国, 丝绸一词也指代人造的, 具有与天然丝绸一样光泽的纺织品.
